There's something magical about baking in your own kitchen. The smell of fresh bread, the rhythm of mixing dough, the joy of watching someone's face light up after tasting your cookies. Starting a cottage bakery isn't just about baking though. It's about creating something from the heart, building a brand with your own two hands, and turning your passion into profit, one small batch at a time.
When I first launched my cottage bakery, I had no commercial kitchen, no investors and no fancy equipment. I had my hand me down kitchen aid mixer, one chocolate chip cookie recipe and a whole lot of grit. Every order was and continues to be a learning experience. From navigating food laws and packing to pricing my products and building and online presence. It's definitely been a roller coaster! But that's the beauty of starting small. You learn. You adapt. You grow.
Now, I'm on a mission to help other women do the same whether you're a stay at home mom, a weekend baker, or someone tired of clocking in to a job that drains you, you can start your own home bakery. You don't need perfection, you need passion, consistently and guidance.
Through this blog, I'm going share everything I've learned: how to brand yourself, create a signature product, attract loyal customers, and build a business that fits your life and not the other way around.
This journey isn't just about selling cookies. It's about reclaiming your time, and your creativity, and building a life you love from your own kitchen.
Let's rise together!
